Questions & Answers
If you have a question that is not answered below, please contact
us.
- My father needs to have blood drawn for tests, and it is hard for
him to get out of the house, can you do that for him?
- Yes we can, but it is not a service that insurance or Medicare will
pay for. One of our nurses can draw the blood, and your dad will pay
for the service.
-
My
mother needs help taking a bath twice a week and needs help cleaning
up her apartment. Can you do that?
- No, VNS can only provide home care services that are skilled. We can
help you get this type of help through our sister agency, Community
Health and Home Care.
-
My wife has become ill and cannot get out of bed. Can you help
me take care of her?
- Yes, if her doctor is willing to sign medical orders for a nurse to
evaluate her and see if she has a skilled need for a nurse or physical
therapist.
-
- My developmentally disabled child needs to have intravenous medications.
Can you do that for him?
- Yes we can. You should ask his doctor if he/she is willing to give
VNS orders for that care. If he/she is willing, then we will help with
the rest of the arrangements to allow our nurses to come into your home
to provide the intravenous therapy and to teach you how to do it if
you are able.
